Disappearance of the Paranormal Paranoids in Shelby Oaks

Paranormal investigator YouTubers Riley Brennan, Laura Tucker, David Reynolds, and Peter Bailey vanish while investigating the prison in the ghost town of Shelby Oaks. The authorities recover the bodies of all but Riley, and one of their cameras is found, containing footage of a terrified Riley.

Seventeen Years Later: Mia's Documentary Interview

Seventeen years after Riley's disappearance, Riley's sister Mia is interviewed for a documentary and insists Riley is still alive. She recalls Riley’s childhood night terrors and sense of being watched. A stranger arrives at Mia's door, murmurs 'she finally let me go,' and shoots himself, leaving behind a chilling mystery.

The Tape and the Stranger's Death

Mia retrieves a mini-DV tape labeled 'Shelby Oaks' from the stranger’s body. The footage shows the Paranoids investigating the prison and the abandoned amusement park, then being attacked; Laura, David, and Peter are killed, and Riley is captured as the tape cuts out.

A Glowing-Eyed Dog Forebodes Trouble

After obtaining the tape, Mia notices a dog with glowing eyes prowling outside her home, signaling that something supernatural has followed Riley’s story. The eerie sign foreshadows the occult danger surrounding Shelby Oaks.

Warden's Testimony and Wilson Miles

Mia interviews the former prison warden, who identifies the attacker as Wilson Miles, a violent offender. He explains that after Miles arrived at the prison, a riot erupted and a computer malfunction opened every cell, yet Miles stood in place instead of leaving.

Riley's Occult Clues and Mia's Suspicions

Mia finds a book among Riley’s belongings with demonic symbols and learns about parasitic incubi and hellhounds. The clues push her to suspect Riley was the victim of an occult ritual. Meanwhile, Mia's partner Robert grows weary and leaves due to her obsessive investigation.

Mia Ventures to Shelby Oaks: Cell, Park, and Hellhounds

Driven to uncover the truth, Mia goes to the prison to locate Miles' former cell and looks out toward the ruins of the abandoned amusement park. She is attacked by a hellhound and flees to the amusement park, where she encounters a dilapidated farmhouse and a mysterious elderly occupant, Norma.

Norma, Tarion, and Riley's Capture

In the farmhouse, Mia learns Norma is Miles’ mother and that Miles abducted Riley. Norma is a devotee of the incubus Tarion, and Miles repeatedly raped Riley to conceive a child, ultimately producing a healthy baby boy after many miscarriages.

Basement Breakthrough and Blood Ritual

Mia texts Robert to summon police and Norma leads her into the basement where Riley is imprisoned. Mia frees Riley, but Riley seizes a fire poker and confronts Norma upstairs. Norma incapacitates Riley and performs a blood ritual over Riley’s newborn, glimpsing Tarion.

Norma's Death and Hospital Arrival

Norma dies from blood loss after the ritual, and Mia greets Riley's newborn as police arrive. Riley and the baby are taken to the hospital and discharged, seemingly safe for the moment.

Riley's Night Attempt and Mia's Fall

That night, Riley tries to smother the baby until Mia stops her. Riley insists the child is possessed and must die. In the struggle, Mia accidentally pushes Riley out the window.
