Kasi is a young man from Madurai who has carved out a modest life in Besant Nagar, Chennai, working in a supermarket and earning a meager 3,500 rupees a month. He shares a close bond with his friend Chokkalingam and is devoted to Selvi, a fellow supermarket employee with whom he spends most of his waking hours. Their simple, hopeful romance sits under the shadow of their tough manager, Valliappan, whose harsh manner tests Kasi’s patience even as Kasi remains kind-hearted and steady.

Across town, a wealthy businessman named Karthik moves through life with privilege and power. He is involved with Monica, a relationship unknown to her, and his fiancée, Pavithra, is secretly in love with him as well. The fragile balance of Karthik’s life is threatened when his phone contains a collection of private sex videos with Monica, a fact that becomes explosive during a heated encounter at a highway coffee shop.

Tangled up in this web of secrets, Kasi secretly keeps Karthik’s phone and begins to lean on Karthik to solve the pressure points caused by Valliappan’s mistreatment. When Selvi learns the phone is in Kasi’s possession, she insists it be returned, threatening to cut him off if he does not. Kasi, unsettled, promises to return it soon. With the battery dead, Kasi leaves the phone with his friend, Chandran, a local mobile shop owner, to charge.

But misfortune accelerates when Chandran discovers the videos and, without Kasi’s knowledge, uploads them to YouTube, painting Kasi as the culprit. Seeing the clips, Karthik assumes Kasi posted them and decides to exact revenge, upending Kasi’s life and safety. Monica, overwhelmed by the scandal, attempts suicide and ends up hospitalized. Kasi learns, from another friend, that the videos have already spread online, and Karthik, convinced of Kasi’s guilt, closes in on him. A dangerous chase erupts in the supermarket as Karthik brutalizes Kasi, who defends himself with equal ferocity. In the end, Kasi reveals the truth: he never uploaded the videos.
