Pretty Cure Super Stars! 2018

The Hug! Pretty Cure team: [Rie Hikisaka] as Hana Nono, [Rina Honnizumi] as Saaya Yakushiji, and [Yui Ogura] as Homare Kagayaki embark on a cheerful day of flower viewing, only to be interrupted by a mysterious rampaging monster named Usobakka. In the ensuing chaos, Usobakka shatters their transformation devices, turning them into stones and undoing their Pretty Cure forms, before seizing Saaya and Homare and vanishing into the crowd.

Desperate for help, Hana seeks out other Pretty Cures and soon crosses paths with the Kirakira Pretty Cure a la Mode team. The squad introduces themselves as [Karen Miyama] as Ichika, [Haruka Fukuhara] as Himari, [Tomo Muranaka] as Aoi, [Saki Fujita] as Yukari, [Nanako Mori] as Akira and [Inori Minase] as Ciel, after they rescue Hug-tan from a stroller, with Hug-tan voiced by [Ayaka Saito]. The gathering marks a tense alliance as Usobakka’s mischief resurfaces, threatening to topple both teams’ powers and compounding the danger.

Usobakka returns, and once again uses his strange power to turn the transformation devices into stones, kidnapping the Kirakira team but leaving Ichika behind. This forces Ichika and Hana to press on together as they journey toward new help, hoping to avert further losses and restore their fading abilities.

They travel to the Magic World and attempt to alert the Witchy PreCure! team—[Rie Takahashi] as Mirai Asahina and [Saori Hayami] as Ha-chan—about the looming threat, but Usobakka interrupts again, kidnapping Riko and Ha-chan in the process. As the three girls manage to escape, Hana confides a painful truth: the monster is Clover, a boy she once befriended as a child and who she could not bring herself to see again.

Meanwhile, the other trapped girls join Saaya and Homare, who realize they are slowly turning into stones themselves. Mirai suggests that Hana search for the Door of Time to save Clover from the fate of becoming Usobakka. Following the lead, they locate and pass through the door, and Hana apologizes to Clover before rescuing him by stepping back into their world.

Clover soon learns that his partner, Dark Onibi, had deceived him. Onibi reveals his true intentions and grows into a colossal threat. To make amends for his past mistakes, Clover uses what remains of his power to reunite the three Pretty Cure teams and restore their transformed states. The Cures rally to defend themselves, their combined might challenged even by the Kirakira and Witchy PreCure teams’ strongest forms. In a final act of resolve, Clover channels his last reserves of flame to aid the teams, and with the miraculous aid of the Miracle Lights, they unleash the attack “Pretty Cure Clover Formation” to cure Onibi.

With Onibi cured, Clover accepts the weight of his choice and carries his flames with him to the afterlife, but not before sealing one more heartfelt promise with Yell.
