Riley [laura-bilgeri] is a high school senior who begins her first day at a new school, accompanied by her father, Chris, the school’s newest English teacher. Despite Chris pushing her away, Kyla trips him and causes him to hit his head, rendering him unconscious.

A janitor finds Kyla feigning injury and asks her to seek help, but meanwhile, she kills him in a brutal attack. Riley, despite her injuries, manages to fight back and overpowers Kyla, who is eventually subdued. As police arrive, both Riley and Kyla are taken away in separate ambulances.

In the aftermath, Riley is preparing to leave for college, bidding farewell to her father in a quiet, poignant moment. As they part ways, an ominous figure cloaked in a hood watches from afar, hinting that the story may not be entirely over.
