The prize grows with each passing week, and Jagan begins to see a way to profit from the situation, suggesting they hide Nandini for a while to claim the money. Pritam agrees to the plan, and the two set up a relatively isolated bungalow as a temporary refuge. Soon after, a group of goons finds them, and Pritam rescues Nandini at the last moment, an act that leaves her shaken but determined to tell a different story.

Nandini opens up about her life, insisting she is sane, and recounts a childhood spent in boarding schools as an orphan. She remembers how Gopichand used to visit her school, leaving chocolates and letters, and how, as she grew older, he began to deposit a substantial sum in her bank account—after which the letters stopped. Driven by a longing to understand the man she believes might be her father, she decides to meet him, and she eventually makes her way to his home. The family’s scheming to remove her from the picture intensifies, and once again Pritam steps in to protect her.

The tension escalates into a pivotal gathering at Gopichand’s home.
