Aman, played by Ranvir Shorey, and Divya, played by Neha Dhupia, are a middle-class couple living in Delhi. While Divya works in media, Aman is employed at a real estate firm. Driven by a desperate desire for luxury, Aman frequently cheats his company to make quick money. He eventually borrows a significant sum from a man named Raghuveer to invest in a plot of land for his family. However, his schemes catch up with him when his boss discovers the fraud and sacks him from his job.
As the situation worsens, Divya discovers she is pregnant but decides to have a secret abortion, fearing Aman’s reaction. Meanwhile, Aman is trapped in a financial nightmare; he cannot recover his investment, and Raghuveer begins using violence to demand his money back. To escape his debts and provide for Divya, Aman concocts a plan to fake his own death so that Divya can claim his life insurance money. He stages a car accident and ensures a charred body is found in the vehicle, which Divya identifies as his.
While Aman hides away at a remote hill station, Divya handles the aftermath in Delhi. However, she discovers a dark secret: Aman did not use a mortuary body for the accident, but instead murdered someone to cover his tracks. As Aman attempts to return home, he discovers a shocking betrayal—Divya had been having an affair with her boss, and the child she aborted was not his. This revelation leads to a violent climax where Aman kills Divya’s boss, only for Divya to ultimately kill Aman.

Aman and Divya are a married couple living a middle-class life in Delhi, with Aman working at a real estate company and Divya at a media company. Aman is fed up with being middle-class and longs to become rich and live in luxury. To chase quick money, he often cheats his own company.

Borrowed Money and a Booked Plot
In one of his side deals, Aman borrows money from Raghuveer. He invests the borrowed money to book a plot of land, intending to build a home there for himself and Divya. The deal soon becomes the root of all his troubles.

Aman's boss at the real estate company finds out that he has been cheating the firm. As a consequence, he sacks Aman from his job. Aman decides to keep this loss of employment a secret from Divya.

On reaching his house, Aman discovers that Divya has been having an affair with her boss and that the aborted baby was not his. Enraged by the betrayal, he kills her boss and walks away, but Divya kills him too.
