Then Fung Yu-Sau, a rising martial artist, steps into the spotlight by challenging a retired master and quickly ends that life. News of Wing-Yan’s death travels fast, and Hahou learns of it, prompting him to approach Inspector Luk Yuen-Sum with a bold proposal: he will assist in capturing the killer using his martial arts skills in exchange for a conditional release. Luk agrees, and Hahou is temporarily set free to pursue the case.

Together, Hahou and Luk deduce that Yu-Sau plans to strike at two more masters—Tam King-yiu and Wong-Chit—a deduction that proves accurate as the threats unfold. After reuniting with his wife, Sinn Ying, Hahou and Luk dig deeper into Yu-Sau’s motives and identity. They learn that Yu-Sau is driven by a ruthless desire to defeat legendary martial artists in order to become a master, a goal that also serves to erase memories of his wife’s death.

With this new understanding, the team shifts their focus to Chan Pak-Kwong’s circle, staking out the restaurant to anticipate Yu-Sau’s moves. Their investigations reveal that Yu-Sau’s true target is not Pak-Kwong himself but Pak-Kwong’s student, Hung Yip, a revelation that reframes the chase and intensifies the stakes.

As the stakes rise, Hahou, Sinn, Luk and the squad uncover Yu-Sau’s location and wait for his arrival. It becomes clear that Sinn is the intended victim, and Hahou acts to protect her, preventing Yu-Sau from striking. Yu-Sau slips away again, but the pursuit resumes on the highway, where a brutal duel unfolds between the two. Luk delivers a decisive shot that ends Yu-Sau’s threat, and Hahou is wounded and rushed to the hospital.
