Izna, Sunny Leone, a celebrated adult-film performer, is introduced in a haunting opening scene: she lies dead in the grass but whispers that she seeks forgiveness for her sins. The target’s data is stored on a hard disk inside Kabir’s house, a prize that could tilt the balance of power.

As the plot unfolds, we learn that Izna’s past with Kabir is not a blank slate. Kabir, a former operative who once worked for the intelligence services, had protected Izna during a drug-peddling sting she unknowingly became entangled in. In a small act of mercy sparked by a coin he took from her during a street confrontation with an auto rickshaw driver, Kabir chose not to arrest her. This moment left Izna with mixed feelings: a growing love for him and a sense of debt that would shape her choices for years to come. Six years pass without contact, and Izna remains haunted by the unresolved chapter between them.

Held in a carefully choreographed sequence, Izna travels to a Sri Lankan residential colony where Kabir is living under the guise of a musician. The mission requires her to pose as Ayaan’s fiancée and to present herself as Kabir’s new neighbor, a ruse that forces Kabir to reevaluate the person he once knew. The very next day, Kabir marks his recognition in a stark, blood-streaked way by writing “Sorry” on Izna’s window, and then he disappears after a phone call shakes the fragile balance of trust. The operation escalates as Kabir launches an assault on Guru Saldanah’s team, forcing a swift retreat and triggering a plan to steal the hard disk from Kabir’s home. Izna’s role becomes clearer: she must lure Kabir out long enough for Ayaan to retrieve the data. The plan appears to work at first, but Ayaan discovers that the forged data they attempted to pass off as real is incomplete or misleading, hinting at a larger, more dangerous conspiracy.

Sumit, Kabir’s wary ally and trusted confidant, Sumit Nijhawan begins to harbor doubts about Izna. He warns Kabir to be cautious, sensing that Izna might be hiding her true motive behind the romance. Kabir, ever the strategist, proposes marriage to Izna and asks her to move into his house, hoping to test her loyalties in a more intimate setting. Izna accepts the arrangement, even as Ayaan’s own feelings for her complicate the mission.

As tensions rise, Ayaan’s feelings for Izna threaten the delicate balance of the operation. Izna insists that she can only complete her task if she can get deeper access to Kabir’s world. A priest’s accidental reading of a private SMS on Izna’s phone reveals the ruse to Sumit, who then confronts Kabir with the knowledge that Izna is a spy. In a tragic turn, Sumit is killed in a gun battle as the factions collide.

Aayan grows conflicted. He provides Izna with a poison that can be hidden in Kabir’s coffee, a weapon meant to sever the bond between Kabir and Izna and protect the operation’s true aims. Kabir, unaware of the looming danger, returns to his house and begins a deeper search for the truth—his own truth about a past mission that exposed corruption within the ranks of officers and politicians. He reveals that his past actions, intended as justice, made him a patriot in his own eyes rather than a terrorist.

Kabir offers Izna a path to escape: a new passport, funds, and access to a Swiss bank account from which she could withdraw large sums. But Izna’s loyalties are tested to the limit. She declines the escape route and, in a moment of final betrayal and love, shoots Kabir in the stomach as he embraces and kisses her, ending the life of the man who trusted her most.

With Kabir dead, Izna makes a dash for the hard disk and runs to Guru Saldanah to hand over the original data. She soon learns, however, that Guru Saldanah’s claim of authority is a deceit—the role she was meant to play had always involved her own erasure. Kabir had warned that Saldanah was a fraud, and he was right: Ayaan, who had earlier planned to end Izna’s life for the mission’s sake, becomes her ally only after falling in love with her.

Confronted with the truth about the mission’s deceit, Izna confesses that she killed an innocent person—the love of her life—and she would rather die beside Kabir than live under the thumb of Ayaan. She attempts to escape again with the hard disk, but Ayaan blocks her path and shoots her in the back. In a final, brutal twist of fate, Ayaan steps closer, flips Izna onto her front, and Izna responds with a flurry of bullets that end Ayaan’s life as well.

The aftermath is bleak and ambiguous. Izna is seen in a ghostly or posthumous moment alongside Kabir, speaking of a shared fate that transcends Heaven or Hell. Their union, now beyond the reach of the living world, suggests that their bond remains the one true constant in a world defined by manipulation, betrayal, and unyielding ambition.
