Her life takes a drastic turn one night at a party when she gets into a fierce altercation, beating up another girl as onlookers record the incident and share it online. Almost instantly, Arielle gains a surge of new followers—147 to be exact.
In town is Dean Taylor, a newcomer staying with his father. They cross paths when Arielle notices him working on his car. During their budding relationship, Dean reveals he has a troubled past involving prison time for serious crimes and shares the painful reality of his abusive father since his own mother has passed away. His confessions resonate with Arielle, fueling her desire to escape Florida and chase fame in Hollywood.
The plot thickens when Arielle discovers that all her savings have vanished. In a fit of rage, she confronts Janet and Bobby in their bedroom, accusing Bobby of theft. A scuffle ensues, and Arielle ends up injuring herself. Feeling desperate, she turns to Dean but walks in on an abusive scene where his father is physically assaulting him. Trying to help, Arielle suffers another blow to the head. Tragedy strikes when Dean retaliates against his father, leading to the man’s accidental death as he tumbles down the stairs.
Suddenly, the pair contemplates fleeing town but are thwarted by a lack of funds. They hatch a scheme to rob a gas station using Dean’s weapon. In a shocking twist, Arielle live streams the robbery without Dean’s knowledge. The bold act leads to a stunning boost in her online presence—three thousand followers almost overnight. When Dean learns of her streaming, he becomes furious, yet Arielle insists that they won’t be recognized due to the cover-up measures she took. Ignoring the risks, Dean agrees to another robbery—a dispensary—this time filming Arielle in action.
As their crime spree escalates, Arielle’s follower count skyrockets to over three million. However, their reckless choices soon catch the attention of law enforcement, and both become infamous as their faces appear on the news. Arielle basks in the spotlight while Dean grapples with the consequences of their actions.

Dean, now deeply troubled by their decisions, removes the bullet from Arielle’s wound only to find her obsessively documenting her injury for social media. Frustration mounts as Dean blames Arielle for the tragic events that unfolded, including his father’s demise. They stumble upon Elle, a fan who recognizes them, seeking the thrill of their notoriety deepens their conflict.
Soon after, amid their chaotic journey, they get entangled with Kyle, who is planning a bank heist and seeks additional help. Despite Dean’s concerns, Arielle’s stubborn determination drives them deeper into crime for fame and wealth. On the day of the bank robbery, Arielle once again chooses to live stream the event against the team’s directives. Chaos erupts when Kyle, frustrated by their failure to locate the anticipated loot, resorts to violence, inadvertently exposing them to the police.
