The trio learns that Bathroy’s bodyguards died in a brutal-once, and Bathroy herself survived by becoming one of the undead. The key detail emerges: Bathroy seeks to bathe in the blood of a virgin born at midnight under a blood moon, a ritual that would extinguish her curse and restore daylight for her to walk freely again.

Eager for a glimmer of legitimacy, the group tracks down Peter Vincent, a host of a popular horror/ghost-hunting show who’s currently filming in Romania. Peter is dismissive of their claims when they burst into a strip club, but the trio persuades him for a fee — $3,000 — to join them in their stalker-like pursuit of Gerri. A reluctant alliance forms, and Amy’s unexpected decision to tag along strengthens the unlikely party as they descend into the labyrinthine subway tunnels.
