Amity Mall opens with ambitious promises, touted as Asia’s largest by the owners, Khan and Manchanda. The opening sequence follows a security guard speaking in a tense, hushed voice on the phone, visibly paranoid as he glimpses a smoky, unsettling apparition. Fear drives him to plead for mercy, but the pursuit endangers him in the dim corridors. A desperate dash to reach his car ends in a crash through the basement ramps, and an unseen force tightens its grip, strangling him with the seat belt in a final, chilling moment. The incident sets a dark, whispered tone that lingers over the fledgling mall.

A week later, Vishnu Sharma arrives to interview for the role of head of security, stepping into a process that already hums with fear and rumor. The meeting is interrupted not by calm questions, but by a circulating air of dread as Tisha the marketing director presents a news report about the mysterious death and the growing belief that the mall is haunted. Despite the warnings that ripple through the room, Vishnu takes the job and settles into the guard’s world.

From the first days on the floor, the new security chief encounters inexplicable signs. The previous guard’s locker opens by itself, a file slips free, and CCTV photographs reveal the same smoky figure that haunted the opening. A whisper of a little girl watching from the shadows lingers just out of reach, vanishing whenever he tries to question her. In the surveillance room, Vishnu and his assistant Rana notice irregularities—spilled jam on the control boards that shouldn’t be there, as if the space itself is reacting to something unseen.

Rana is sent to inspect the cameras in the basement, but the storage room door slides open on its own. The danger escalates when Rana investigates and is attacked by the same dark force, leaving Vishnu to grapple with the consequences as he hears static on his walkie-talkie and discovers a disquieting shift in the building’s atmosphere. What begins as unsettling becomes deadly when Rana’s dismembered body is found, staged and lingering, a grim reminder that the threat is more than superstition.

During the mall’s grand opening, the pair of owners declare they will spend the night inside with their children to prove the place is not haunted. The gamble backfires as the dark force presses in, and personal tragedy strikes: Khan’s son falls victim to the malign presence, prompting Khan to blame Manchanda for the perilous stunt. The situation clarifies little about the malevolence at work, but the deaths continue, and Khan himself is claimed by the same force, leaving Manchanda, his daughter Ahana, and Vishnu as the final survivors.

With escape routes blocked and the danger intensifying, they attempt to flee through the building’s air-conditioning ducts. In the claustrophobic chase, Vishnu is pulled away and encounters the same girl once more. She reveals a startling truth: his real name is Arjun. A flood of childhood memories returns, pointing to a shared past on the very land where the mall now stands. They uncover the story of an orphanage that housed twenty-one children and a grim choice about the land’s future, a choice that drew the ire of Khan and Manchanda and drew them into a catastrophe.

The revelation culminates in a confrontation with Manchanda, who is drawn into a vision of the horrific fire that consumed the orphanage. Manchanda dies in that vision, consumed by flames, witnessed by Ahana and Vishnu. As they try to escape, the Mother’s ghost appears, turning her fury toward Ahana and threatening to burn her. Vishnu pleads for mercy, insisting Ahana is innocent and deserving of life. His earnest plea moves the Mother to pause, and she departs—with the spirits of the twenty-one children—leaving behind a white, peaceful light and a sense of closure.

In the aftermath, Vishnu and Ahana emerge into daylight, stepping out of the shadows that haunted Amity Mall. Their connection—built on a shared past, memory, and the will to survive—carries them forward as they walk into the new day, free from the haunting that once engulfed the building.
