Bikini Frankenstein opens with the film’s credits echoing the line “Based on the classic novel by Mary Shelley.” In a university setting, Dr. Victor Frankenstein is a science professor at State University whose obsession with pushing the boundaries of knowledge unsettles those around him. He begins an affair with Debbie, one of his students, right in the classroom, a reckless betrayal that doesn’t stay hidden for long. The relationship is spotted by his rival, Clive, who reports the impropriety to the Dean, Professor Van Sloane, and brings the matter to the classroom. Debbie is Van Sloane’s daughter, a detail that intensifies the consequences, and the Dean promptly removes the professor from his post. The shockwaves of that scandal resound through the campus, and Frankenstein’s career is derailed as a result.

Five years pass, and Frankenstein returns to his homeland in Transylvania to pursue his research once more, this time aided by his assistant, Ingrid. After spending time with her, he achieves a remarkable breakthrough: the revival of Eve, a deceased body brought to life through a surge of energy drawn from a lightning storm. Eve’s revival is complete with a public, unsettling display of life, and soon she shares a kiss with Ingrid, forming a powerful bond with Frankenstein’s assistant right there in the laboratory.

With Eve revived, the trio travels back to the United States, where Frankenstein earns the attention and admiration of his colleagues, including Van Sloane and Dr. Waldman, as well as Clive and Claudia. Frankenstein initially presents Eve as Ingrid’s sister to ease the group into accepting her presence, only to later reveal her true nature as a revived corpse. He leaves the hotel briefly to retrieve an object, leaving Eve and Ingrid in Clive’s care. Clive, curious about Frankenstein’s plans, asks Claudia to shadow Frankenstein to uncover what he is up to, leaving Eve alone with Clive.

Clive leads Eve on a private tour of his residence, and the two develop a sexually charged dynamic in his office. Claudia, meanwhile, tracks Frankenstein to his hotel room, where the two share an intimate moment. When the group reconvenes, Frankenstein faces skepticism about Eve’s true origins. To prove his claims, he produces Eve’s death certificate, an attempt to validate the extraordinary event that has drawn them all together.

Ingrid and Claudia escort Eve to a private room to prepare her for examination, and what follows is a charged, ritual-like ceremony involving Eve, Ingrid, and Claudia. The event culminates in Eve’s explosive death, attributed to an overwhelming surge of excitation. Undeterred by this turn of events, Frankenstein proclaims that he will press on with his experiments at a later date, continuing to pursue life from the ashes of the dead with another body.
