Elina becomes a Crystal Palace apprentice

Elina is now famous for defeating Laverna twice and is invited to be Azura's apprentice at the Crystal Palace. She travels to begin her training and to learn the ritual that will bring the first rainbow of spring to life. This invitation marks a new chapter in her journey as a guardian of Fairytopia.

New apprentices introduced

At the Crystal Palace, Elina meets the other apprentices: Linden, Shimmer, Lumina, Sunburst, Faben, and Glee. Dizzle, Glee's puffball, surprises everyone by falling in love with Bibble. The group begins to form bonds as they prepare for the trials ahead.

Laverna's plan to ruin Flight of Spring

Unknown to Elina, Laverna plots to prevent the annual Flight of Spring and to plunge Fairytopia into a ten-year winter. She schemes to sabotage the ritual and undermine the apprentices' progress. Her envy and thirst for power pose a growing threat to the realm.

First classes ignite rivalry with Sunburst

Elina excels in the early classes, earning Sunburst's growing resentment. Their rivalry escalates into a heated confrontation, and both are reprimanded by Azura. The tension foreshadows the deeper dangers looming over the palace.

Laverna escapes exile as a bewitched frog

Laverna leaves her exile and pretends to be a bewitched frog, deceiving Elina and Linden. The two apprentices reverse the spell and free her, inadvertently aiding her return. This display showcases Laverna's cunning and the fragility of the apprentices' trust.

Warning dismissed, Azura takes notice

Elina and Linden warn the Crystal Palace that Laverna has returned, but the guardians doubt the warning due to a decoy left in the bogs. Azura decides to heed the warning despite their skepticism. The misgivings set the stage for Laverna's planned infiltration.

Laverna infiltrates with Sunburst's appearance

Laverna finds Sunburst in the garden, captures her, and uses a spell to take on Sunburst's appearance in order to enter the palace. With Sunburst's borrowed form, Laverna poisons all the guardians without arousing suspicion. The palace defenses begin to crumble from within.

Guardians fall into comas; Flight of Spring planned

With the guardians in comas, the Enchantress gathers the apprentices and informs them they must perform the Flight of Spring, even though they are not fully trained. The group begins practicing the magical dance that awakens the rainbow, racing against time. Tension tightens as the rite approaches.

Slip reveals Sunburst's true identity

During practice, a small slip-up reveals that Sunburst is actually Laverna. Elina halts the rehearsal and, with Bibble and Dizzle, sets out to find the real Sunburst. The team resolves to expose the deception and safeguard the rite.

Sunburst imprisoned by the river

The group heads to the river, aware of water's weakness for sparkle fairies, and discovers Sunburst imprisoned inside a magic bubble. The sight confirms Laverna's hold over the real Sunburst and raises the stakes for the rescue. They prepare a plan to restore Sunburst and oppose Laverna's ruse.

Return of Sunburst and crown conflict

Elina returns with the real Sunburst to the garden, foiling Laverna's disguise. Laverna demands the Enchantress hand over the crown or ruin the rite. The Enchantress hands over the crown to Laverna and is imprisoned as a consequence.

Final confrontation severs Laverna's power

Laverna fires a magical ray to destroy the rainbow, but Elina steps in front of the beam. With help from the other six apprentices, they form a seven-color rainbow that strikes Laverna and drains her powers. Laverna is destroyed and the threat to Fairytopia ends.
