Three young women—Sofia Anamika Chakraborty, Uma Tuhina Das, and Joyi Priyanka Mondal—kick off the story by heading to a lively party where they each pair off with different partners. The mood is festive, but the night takes a dark turn as a string of murders begins to haunt Kolkata, striking first at Beniapukur and Burrabazar before Sofia herself becomes a victim. As the city reel begins to spread, investigators uncover a chilling thread: Sofia had been linked to a dating site, hinting at a dangerous connection beyond the initial crime scenes.

The case falls into the hands of Kolkata Police detective Shabor Dasgupta Saswata Chatterjee. He is handed a daunting assignment—to untangle the growing pattern of killings and to root out the possible serial killer behind them. With him are his trusted colleagues, Senior Inspector Nandalal Roy Subhrajit Dutta and Senior Inspector Sanjib Das Gaurav Chakrabarty. Their first major move is to travel to Chandannagar, where a fresh murder—this time of Rinku Roy Diti Saha—has rattled the community and stirred fear that more victims might follow. The investigation quickly puts Bijoy Sen Indraneil Sengupta, a man who is deeply disliked by the locals and who had a relationship with Rinku, under the spotlight. In a public display of suspicion, Bijoy is beaten at his own home, raising questions about motive, guilt, and who else might be involved.

To get a clearer read on Sofia’s world, Shabor directs Nandalal Roy to conjure up a dating-site environment that mirrors the real site Sofia used. The idea is to reach Sofia’s friends and unmask a possible fake profile connected to Bijoy, a profile that could reveal hidden links between the victims and the killer. Back at the family front, Rinku’s grandmother Lolita Chatterjee recalls a crucial clue: she once spotted a blue car pulling up to Bijoy Sen’s house the night before Rinku arrived there by bicycle, a detail that suggests someone watched the house closely.

Meanwhile, Sumana Arunima Ghosh is questioned about her husband Bijoy. On another front, Nandu—Senior Inspector Nandalal Roy’s colleague in the field—goes undercover, dating one of Sofia’s friends, Uma Tuhina Das. The plan works until tragedy strikes again: Uma is attacked and killed in a manner eerily similar to the previous murders, a blow that shakes the entire investigation and raises the stakes even higher.

As the hunt intensifies, Shabor presses Sumana to engage Bijoy directly for information. He wants to uncover any hidden motive or connection that could tie Bijoy to Sofia’s circle. The investigation then pivots to Lucknow, where Shabor and his team pursue a lead about Sharon Anjana Basu and her former boyfriend Sujit Mir Afsar Ali. They learn that Sharon and Sujit are no longer living together, a revelation that adds a new layer of complexity to the case and suggests that past relationships may be entwined with the killings.

Sumana, driven by a sense of duty and concern for Bijoy, meets him again and finds herself drawn to reconcile, even as the danger deepens around them. A key breakthrough comes when Joyi Priyanka Mondal, Uma’s roommate, uncovers a batch of self-portraits and selfies that hint at the killer’s circle. She’s recruited to act as bait, drawing suspects to a carefully prepared trap. The plan works, and a violent confrontation ensues at a staged setting where Shabor and his team close in on the attacker. In the ensuing chase, they corner the killer, who is revealed to be someone from Uma’s close circle—someone who harbored feelings for her and chose to act out of jealousy and possessiveness.

As the case nears its climax, Sumana’s path intersects with Bijoy once again. After their meeting, Sumana experiences a moment of clarity and decides to move forward with Bijoy, seeking a chance to rebuild trust and understanding. In the final reckoning, ACP Shabor Dasgupta lays out a sobering reflection: the tragedies were fed, in large part, by the negligence and distractions of parents, and the ways adults pursue their own interests can leave children vulnerable and abandoned in crucial years of development.

Throughout the film, the tension of the investigation is tempered by Shabor’s measured, methodical approach—combining on-the-ground policing with a deep reading of human relationships.
