Charles is a young man who has shouldered the responsibility of raising his sister since they became orphans, a burden he bears with quiet dedication. When a distressing incident at his sister’s college arts day competition leaves her shaken and vulnerable, he faces a daunting problem: the money needed for her treatment. To secure the funds, he crosses paths with Shobaraj, a wily con man whose street-smart schemes somehow align with Charles’s desperate plan. Together, they are hired by Paulochan to execute a delicate, morally dubious mission: charm his daughter, Anna, who has just entered a convent to become a nun, in order to persuade her to leave the convent, marry, and carry on the family bloodline. The setup is simple, but the execution soon spirals into a maze of misdirection and danger, testing loyalty, love, and conscience in equal measure.

To pull off the job, Charles and Shobaraj take up positions at the convent canteen, playing the part of friendly coworkers while quietly pursuing their goal. The plan hinges on charming Anna enough to woo her away from her chosen path, a task that proves harder than either of them anticipated. But fate has a trick in store: Charles ends up targeting the wrong Anna, a fellow convent student who shares the same name and a similar youthfully hopeful outlook. This unintended target falls for Charles and, moved by the romance, decides to leave the convent with him. The sudden shift from a calculated mission to a genuine emotional bond unsettles the carefully constructed ruse and sets off a chain of consequences that neither man anticipated.

Once the true error comes to light, Charles and Shobaraj are left to navigate a widening web of problems. They must contend with Paulochan’s mounting anger and the debt they promised to repay—three lakhs, a steep price for botching the job. They also find themselves on the run from the police, who suspect they kidnapped Anna and have little patience for excuses. On top of that, there are thugs hired by Anna’s step-brother, intent on silencing her to protect a fortune she stands to inherit, and the Mother of the convent who is furious about her runaway student. The situation grows increasingly tangled as the five separate pressures—romance, debt, law enforcement, criminal intimidation, and religious authority—collide in a series of comic and chaotic encounters.

Amidst the escalating confusion, the pair’s ridiculous improvisations and close escapes yield an improbable form of affection. The romance grows in fits and starts as they juggle lies, shadings of truth, and the increasingly dangerous consequences of their actions. The tension between pretending and genuine feeling becomes a central thread, especially as the “false” Anna discovers a real and deepening connection with Charles, complicating the original plan still further.
