Hawan disaster and flight

In the opening scene, Kedari Krishnamachari and three pundits perform a hawan for a wealthy household. Thick smoke triggers an elderly man’s asthma and he dies, sparking anger and accusations from the family. Fearing for their lives, the group flees, seeking refuge in a mosque and a church before deciding to escape to America after the Acharya reads Bhavishya vani claiming Krishna tampered.

Immigration to America and grind

In America, the pundits confront hardship as they take odd jobs and rent a small apartment. Krishna continues to search for someone, while Acharya finds work at a temple in Las Vegas as a cleaner. Their struggle abroad sets the stage for the encounter with Renuka.

Krishna hears Renuka's voice

At a Las Vegas temple, Krishna hears a female voice singing a Krishna Bhajan and follows it to its source. He spots Renuka leaving in a car and believes he has found the person he has been seeking. The moment marks the beginning of a fateful connection.

Acharya secures a pundit gig

In the temple, Acharya meets a woman who explains that her boss needs a pundit for his wedding. Acharya agrees to take the job, bringing Krishna and the others along. They travel to Vikram’s house for the engagement ceremony.

Renuka faints; flashback begins

They arrive at Vikram’s home for the engagement and Renuka sees Krishna, fainting in shock. The film shifts into a long flashback that reveals Renuka’s past and Chakrapani’s world.

Renuka’s backstory: Chakrapani and the pooja

Renuka returns from America to Chakrapani’s estate, where the wheelchair-using grandfather is thrilled to claim her as his heiress. Her uncles resent her refusal to marry Vikram, and a four-day pooja begins, during which Acharya is summoned to preach. Krishna accidentally sees Renuka nude, apologizes, and Renuka becomes angry.

Crush and schemes

Renuka and her friend hatch revenge schemes against Krishna, but their plots fail repeatedly. Krishna's simple act of blessing a maid's daughter on her birthday earns Renuka's admiration. As she witnesses his kindness, her feelings toward him begin to change.

Attack in the fields and bond

During a stroll in the fields, the duo is attacked and Krishna saves them. He suspects the uncles behind the assault, and the growing trust between Renuka and Krishna deepens as their bond strengthens.

Final day confession promised

On the final day of the pooja, Renuka hints she has something important to say, signaling an important confession. The flashback edges towards its end as Krishna resolves to find her again.

Chakrapani’s death and the ashes

Back in the present, Krishna learns Renuka left for America before the last day and that Chakrapani died of a heart attack while remembering the insult from Subbaraju, not due to havan smoke. The uncles refuse to give the ashes to Renuka unless she marries Vikram, revealing their conspiracy.

Plan to steal the ashes and escape

Krishna and the pundits plan to steal Chakrapani’s ashes from Vikram’s house and flee with Renuka. They attempt the theft twice but are chased by Vikram’s henchmen. The tension builds toward a climactic confrontation.

Final confrontation and truth

The family lawyer reveals Chakrapani had named Krishna his heir and shows video evidence. Krishna refuses to sign or compromise, and a fierce fight ensues as he protects Renuka, ultimately defeating the adversaries.
