Opening tragedy in 1927 UK theatre

In 1927, a UK theatre crowd waits for a performance while the host apologizes for the delay. Behind the scenes, Nafisa is ordered to call Ayush, who has locked himself in a room. When the door is forced open, Ayush is found having slit his wrist.

Ayush is discovered and moves to New York

In 1921, the wealthy Mr. Wadia discovers Ayush's extraordinary talent and offers to fund his education in exchange for Ayush caring for Wadia Manor in New York. Ayush accepts and travels to the mansion, where he is warmly welcomed by the housekeeper and caretaker. He soon enrolls at York College of Music to pursue his studies.

Paranormal onset at Wadia Manor

Three months after his arrival, Ayush is beset by a series of paranormal events in the mansion. Doors slam open on their own, lights flicker, and a white light beckons him while a woman's scream interrupts his approach. A blood-written message appears, pushing him to seek help.

Rose joins the investigation

Ayush meets Rose, a fellow York College of Music student with a second sight, who joins in to investigate the hauntings. Together they uncover that the recent events are connected to past secrets and may involve forces beyond ordinary explanation.

Meher's poisoning night

Ayush recounts the night when, three months earlier, Meher—Mr. Wadia's niece—blackmailed him into performing. She poisons him and tries to dump him, but he knocks her unconscious. On the way back, a supernatural presence causes a crash, leading to Meher's death, and Ayush faces no confrontation over it.

Meher was Tina: hospital revelation

During their investigation, Rose learns that the Meher Wadia who visited Ayush was not Meher at all but Tina, a classmate who had been dead for three months. The date of Tina's death horrifies Rose and ties her to the current haunting.

Vasudha's backstory and murder

Rose explains that Vasudha, Nafisa's roommate, loved a married man named Richard. She believed he would marry her, but Richard's wife appears as a spirit and reveals Vasudha murdered her. Vasudha's guilt leads to an attempt on her own life, and she dies, her spirit then infiltrating Tina's body.

Church confrontation begins

To rid the mansion of the torments, Ayush and Rose decide to visit a church. Vasudha attacks Nafisa, prompting Rose to rush her to a hospital where the hauntings intensify and the web of spirits tightens around them.

Coma and the rope of white light

In the hospital, Ayush slips into a coma since the night of Meher's attack. Rose discovers they are connected through a rope of white light that allows the spirit to wander while the body sleeps. They try to re-enter Ayush's body, but Vasudha blocks the entry.

Hair, letter, and the last attempt

Rose secures Ayush's hair to anchor his spirit and plans to re-link him to his body. As she prepares to leave the hospital, Vasudha's spirit seizes control of Ayush and tortures Rose, threatening to destroy his body if she departs.

Rose's sacrifice and revelation

Rose sacrifices herself by taking her own life to sever Vasudha's hold on Ayush. Her spirit later reveals that she had already sent Ayush the hair and a letter through Nafisa, enabling the final connection.
