Yu-Gi-Oh!: Bonds Beyond Time 2010

In New Domino City, Yusei Fudo, Yuya Miyashita, finds himself weighing the city’s fragile balance as Crow Hogan, Shintaro Asanuma, and Jack Atlas, Takanori Hoshino, try to lift his spirits with a casual ride on their Duel Runners. But a shadow falls when a mysterious Turbo Duelist named Paradox, Atsushi Tamura, challenges him to a duel. Yusei calls on his trusted Stardust Dragon, only for Paradox to seal it inside a card and vanish, leaving behind a chilling clue that time itself may be bending.

A strange article about a past battle in Venice surfaces, a clash Yusei insists never happened in history. Soon, New Domino City begins to fade from existence, and the Crimson Dragon appears, granting Yusei’s Duel Runner the power to travel through time. This haunting shift sets the stage for a journey that spans eras and destinies, forcing Yusei to confront a future where the rules of their world could be rewritten.

Across time, in a Venice of the past, Judai Yuki, KENN, is attacked by corrupted versions of stolen monster cards, including Stardust Dragon. Paradox aims to kill him, but Yusei and the Crimson Dragon intervene to shield the young duelist. Paradox escapes to an earlier moment, leaving the trio to tracing a path through history. Years earlier, Maximillion Pegasus is hosting a duel tournament in Domino City, where Pegasus J. Crawford, Jirou Jay Takasugi, presides. Yugi Mutou / Yami Yugi, Shunsuke Kazama, attends with his grandfather, Solomon, as Paradox unleashes his monsters to attack the event, killing Pegasus, Yugi’s grandfather, and many bystanders, though Yugi survives.

Yusei and Judai arrive, and the Crimson Dragon transports them and Yugi 30 minutes back in time to before Paradox’s assault, because Pegasus’ premature death would drastically alter history. After learning the full scope of Paradox’s actions, Yugi joins the fight, eventually letting his ancient alter ego Yami take over. The trio confronts Paradox, who reveals a dystopian future where the world lies in ruin and nothingness, insisting that erasing Duel Monsters from history is the only fix. The heroes refuse, arguing that erasing the game would erase a web of futures and people connected to it, and they challenge him to a duel.

By combining the powers of their key monsters, Yugi, Judai, and Yusei defeat Paradox. After the victory, the three bid farewell and promise to meet again someday. The era’s wounds begin to heal: New Domino City returns to its normal rhythm, and Yusei finds renewed optimism for what the future may hold.
