The premise of Your Excellency without spoilers.
Lopitos, an inefficient but clever bureaucrat, is invited to a banquet because the ambassador fears a table of thirteen. Unaligned, Lopitos condemns the powers for violating nations’ right to self‑determination, speaking as a citizen after arranging his own removal.
