Upstairs, Astrid learns that the situation has spiraled beyond control and confronts Eden, who wrestles her into the bath and hurls her into the water, where a hairdryer completes the fatal electrocution.

Barrett, back at home, searches for Eden with a rifle in hand. He confronts the car outside and is quickly knocked into a confrontation with Eden, who runs him over with the vehicle. She steps out, the rifle in her grasp but unsure of killing him, and collapses in tears as Barrett lies injured. Zara, wielding the butt of the rifle, strikes the final blow, sending Barrett crashing to the floor as sirens draw closer to the house.

The night closes on the echo of approaching emergency vehicles and the stark, unflinching reality of the violence that unfolded.
