The film opens with a sudden accident that sets a twist-filled tale in motion. Gautam, Gautham Ram Karthik is kidnapped by Chakravarthi, Prabhu, and as they ride, Gautam is forced to narrate his side of the story while Chakravarthi and others push their own versions of a wedding to be stopped. This framing device kicks off a big, time-bending flashback that unspools the heart of the film.

Gautam is ready to propose to Simran with a bouquet of roses, but fate steps in with a different script. Elsewhere, Nithya, Rakul Preet Singh, is playing cricket and accidentally knocks Gautam off his feet with a vigorous hit. He’s rushed to the hospital on a stretcher, and the events take a turn as Simran grows close to Dr. Anand, Amit Bhargav, the doctor treating Gautam, and they eventually marry. Gautam is invited to the wedding, and though he goes, he can’t bring himself to face Simran.

In a drunken turn of events, Gautam meets a intoxicated Nithya, who unbeknownst to him harbors feelings for Anand. The two drift through a wild night, but part ways by the next day. A few days later, they unexpectedly cross paths in a pub, and Gautam finds himself drawn to her. He starts to accompany her everywhere, only to discover that she is already engaged in another romance.

Nithya’s fiancé ends their engagement after a sharp disagreement about Gautam, while Gautam, unaware of the shift in her heart, begins dating Kavya, a veterinary doctor, Nikesha Patel, though that relationship also dissolves amid tension. Soon, Nithya realizes she loves Gautam and heads to his home after his mother’s passing to propose to him. To her shock, Kavya is there, leading her to believe the two are already connected in marriage. She leaves for Bangalore, accepting the arrangement her parents have prepared for her.

Seeing how events have unfolded, Gautam and his friends decide to travel to Bangalore to stop the impending union. On the road, their car breaks down and Gautam hitches a ride, a moment that sets off another chain of confrontations. A ferocious clash with Chakravarthi ensues, and it’s revealed that John Abraham’s motive was not Gautam’s safety but the person who gave him a lift. The stranger turns out to be an ally who helps Gautam reach the wedding.

Back at the venue, Gautam’s friends arrive and reveal the truth to Nithya, spurring her to take decisive action. In a twist, Nithya escapes the wedding and seeks Chakravarthi’s help for a lift, drawn by the glitter of her jewelry. Chakravarthi, sensing the gravity of the moment, realizes that she is the woman Gautam came for. He turns the car back toward the wedding hall, and a tense, comic final sequence unfolds: Nithya seizes the moment, the pair share a frenzied confrontation, and, amid the mayhem, Nithya and Gautam find their way back to each other.

Throughout, the film uses humor, romance, and a dash of action to keep the mood buoyant even as loyalties and misunderstandings shift.
