Wolf and Sheep (2016): Cast

In rural Afghanistan, communities rely on storytelling to understand their world. Shepherd children, largely unsupervised, uphold unspoken rules forbidding interaction between boys and girls. While the boys train with slings to defend against wolves, the girls secretly smoke and dream of marriage, often gossiping about outsiders like eleven-year-old Sediqa, who is believed to be cursed. Similarly, young Qodrat faces ridicule when his mother remarries an older man. Seeking solace, he ventures into the remote mountains and unexpectedly forms a friendship with Sediqa.
