Brennan, a devoted Liverpool supporter who can quote the club’s history endlessly, lives at a public school in southern England after his father Gareth, devastated by his wife’s death, became emotionally unable to care for him. One day Gareth unexpectedly returns, bearing tickets for Liverpool’s trip to the 2005 Champions League Final in Istanbul, giving Brennan a chance to chase his dream.
