Two well-meaning but comically inept friends, Shammi Thakur and Kedar Patel, hatch a plan to reach the United States by sea, hoping for a fresh start that seems too good to be true. Their scheme kicks off with a hasty boat escape, but fate has a different country in mind, and they wash up on the sun-waked beaches of Karachi, Pakistan. Realizing the mix-up, they scramble to hide from the consequences, only to find themselves pursued by an ISI agent and eventually snatched by a local don, Azhar Balouch, who demands a ransom from Kedar’s father. After a tense standoff, the two are released into a crowded Pathan quarter where they’re forced to maneuver through a web of forged documents and dangerous intermediaries in a bid to stay alive.

In this liminal, high-stakes world, the situation spirals when Shammi’s impulsive bravado inflames a tense row with a group of Pathans during a heated India-Pakistan cricket match. The chaos opens a doorway to even stranger trouble: a Taliban camp, where the two are mistaken for militants and trapped in a system they barely understand. Days blur into a perilous cat-and-mouse game as they try to escape the camp, and their only apparent lifeline is a stolen mobile phone that turns out to be a detonator designed for a larger, devastating plot against NATO forces.

A sudden detonation rips through the camp, and a pursuing drone brings American troops into the fray. The two are captured and then released, a complicated dance of leverage and negotiation that brings them back into the orbit of Azhar Balouch. Balouch strikes a deal with a ruling minister—hand over the two in exchange for a political prize, a ticket that could help cement a claim of “attacking the Taliban” on behalf of Pakistan. The narrative shifts as the media go into overdrive: Pakistani outlets herald the two as national heroes, while Indian media portrays them as Indians stranded across the border, creating a fraught staging ground for national pride and personal survival.

Midway through this geopolitical tug-of-war, American forces reappear, interrogating how the Taliban camp attack is portrayed in the news. They promise deportation to India if Shammi and Kedar can sell the event as a victory for American authority, and the men reluctantly agree. They’re boarded onto a flight bound for India, only to discover a dangerous ruse aboard: a Taliban militant disguised as an airline pilot. The two men rally with the help of the Pakistani army, and a fierce crossfire erupts as they fight to thwart a would-be terror attack and seize control of the plane.

In the final stretch, Shammi and Kedar manage to overpower the disguised militant and make a dramatic escape from Pakistan’s skies. The film closes with the two of them seated in the cockpit, the hum of the engines around them, and an eerie, unseen voice behind them mouthing a cryptic instruction to “take a left turn.” The moment hints at a larger threat still out there, leaving their fate unresolved as the credits roll.
