The village of Veeranor, tucked away in Coimbatore, clings to a temple for Veeran even as most locals doubt its power. A 15-year-old Kumaran is near the temple when a sudden lightning strike knocks him into a brief coma, and he is sent to Singapore to recover. There, he discovers extraordinary abilities: electrokinesis, superhuman strength, and temporary mind control that flare to life at moments of danger or stress.

Fourteen years later, Kumaran returns and reveals his powers to his friends, Sakkarai and Selvi, while also sharing visions of Veeran’s potential destruction. The pair uncover a troubling truth: a tech firm known as JACL has been pushing a warning about their own cheap laser cables—warnings that strange accidents and volatility could devastate the village. The company’s inner circle includes the evil scientist Sarath, his equally dangerous brother Thruv, and a politician Sharath, who are secretly testing fatal experimental serums on subjects and plotting to lay down 36 kilometers of uninterrupted laser cable in Veeranor.

To shield the village from the looming threat, Kumaran secretly brainwashes inspector Nallasamy to seize confidential files and uses local cable operators to broadcast the hidden danger of the project. Yet most villagers refuse to believe the cables are dangerous, so Kumaran and Sakkarai craft Veeran’s mythology to rally them. Kumaran even impersonates Veeran and spreads rumors of his return, while he brainwashes the council leader to keep him from signing away temple land to JACL—land that would pave the way for the cables. He also manipulates a JACL goon to terrify non-believers, though he learns that his own mind can slip into unconsciousness if pushed too far; a bracelet given by Sakkarai’s grandfather helps him keep the powers in check. After a brush with hospitalization, he escapes to confront the goons sent by JACL to destroy the temple, aided by his loyal horse, Bruce Lee. The village response shifts from fear to devoted worship of Veeran, and they rebuff JACL’s land grab.

The tension escalates when Thruv arrives in frustration, trying to provoke the villagers, only to be overwhelmed by Kumaran’s control as he is forced to praise Veeran not once but thrice. A video of Thruv praising Veeran goes viral, prompting scientists to speculate that someone could be manipulating him from an electric source. They propose using an electromagnetic detector to locate the source behind the phenomenon.

Tensions flare again when a group of JACL goons, posing as villagers, incite a riot that ends in murder. Bribed inspector Nallasamy arrests those who support Veeran, including Kumaran and Sakkarai and his grandfather, while a brutal beating aims to rattle the village into submission. Kumaran summons his power with the help of Bruce Lee to break free, erase memories of the police, and outwit the captives, forcing a retreat. In the clash that follows, Thruv is wounded, but Kumaran’s intensified feats and the spectacle of Veeran’s myth calms the crowd and deters JACL from proceeding. The brave effort also erases the threat for a time, and Thangarasu, a village cable operator, steps forward to reveal Veeran’s true identity and to praise Kumaran, inspired by Sumathi, Kumaran’s disabled daughter.

Blood runs hot as the conflict reaches a breaking point. In a fit of rage, Sarath kills Sharath for failing to protect Thruv and sets a deadly trap, causing Kumaran’s powers to be temporarily disabled. He and his men abduct and torture Thangarasu to draw Veeran into the trap, firing a serum-dart that knocks him out. The tunnel of experiments continues until Perusu and Narayana intervene, halting the torture and enabling Veeran to slip away. Despite his injuries, Veeran faces Thruv, who injures him and Bruce Lee, but divine lightning strikes the temple lingam and recharges Veeran’s powers. Re-empowered, Veeran rises to defend the temple and stops Thruv from destroying the sacred site, ultimately killing Thruv.

In the fallout, Sarath is felled when Perusu and Narayana shoot him with a serum dart, ending his reign of manipulation. The villagers celebrate their stubborn unity and the village’s faith, realizing that the lore Kumaran spun about Veeran aligns with an ancient warrior whose tomb lies buried beneath Veeranor. Veeran’s journey closes with a quiet triumph: the community’s belief, not the machine’s decree, guards their home, and the legend born to protect them becomes their enduring truth.
