What Is Varietés About?

The premise of Varietés without spoilers.

Set in 1930s Spain, a traveling troupe of magicians, ventriloquists, strongmen, dancers, singers and a full orchestra tours city after city to entertain audiences. Aging star vocalist Carmen Soler (Trini Alonso) refuses to fade, fiercely defending her spotlight, while young singer Ana Marques (Sara Montiel) works in her shadow, yearning for her own breakthrough.
