In this family drama, Raghu, a student in Australia, travels to New Zealand with a friend, where he runs into Malavika. The two start with petty disputes but gradually fall in love, their budding romance interrupted by circumstances that force them to part ways before they can exchange contact details.

Back home, Raghu befriends Prakash and, more by chance than plan, discovers an old family photograph that includes his mother Saradha, a woman he believed had no relatives. When he asks about the image, his mother reveals a long-hidden history: she was once part of a large extended family—three brothers and a sister—but she was cast out after choosing to marry for love.

Moved by this revelation, Raghu decides to reunite her with her kin. He travels to the village as Prakash’s friend, earning the trust and affection of the entire family. As he grows closer to the brothers, he learns that Malavika is the daughter of one of them, which deepens his sense of responsibility toward the clan. But when he discovers that Prakash himself hopes to marry Malavika, Raghu steps back, choosing restraint over rivalry.

Yet Prakash, recognizing the depth of both love stories, wishes for a union that would bring the family together rather than tear it apart. The elders of the clan initially seem ready to bless Raghu’s alliance with Malavika, but their stance hardens once they learn Raghu is Saradha’s son, complicating the match and stirring old tensions. Faced with an impossible choice, Raghu sacrifices his own happiness to prevent further rifts in a family already fractured by years of estrangement.

In a patient, hopeful turnaround, Raghu’s persistence and compassion begin to heal old wounds, bridging generations and reuniting a dispersed clan.
