Trypps #7 (Badlands) (2010): Cast

Through an intimate long take the film follows a young woman’s LSD trip across Badlands National Park, then shifts into a psychedelic, formal abstraction of the vast desert landscape. It explores ideas of the romantic sublime, phenomenological experience and secular spiritualism, extending Russell’s ongoing investigation of cinema as a vehicle for transcendence.
