In the Wild West, Granny and Tweety ride a dusty desert road in their wagon, singing Oh! Susanna, when they’re suddenly ambushed by a large group of “puddy tats” posing as Indigenous peoples of the Americas—many of whom resemble Sylvester. They scramble for shelter and flee to a deserted fort, where Granny wastes no time, taking aim and firing, while Tweety keeps score with tally marks and hums Ten Little Indians. The scene is chaotic and comic as the attackers fall one after another, and the rhythm of the chase is punctuated by the song that Tweety quietly tracks. The tenth assailant nearly snatches Tweety away, but Granny acts just in time to protect him.

More schemes unfold, including an archer and a battering ram, all of which backfire in slapstick fashion. Another archer nearly drags Tweety out again, exclaiming, > Granny! Help! A Mohican got me! <, only to be foiled by Granny with a clever counterstrike. The onslaught continues, with each trap—whether archer, ram, or other device—ending in a burst of failure rather than triumph. The tension spikes when Chief “Rain-In-The-P-P-Puss” orders the real Sylvester to slip into the fort, but he reappears with the top of his head scalped by Granny, who snaps, > Ya got any more bright ideas? <

Undeterred, Granny and Tweety disguise themselves as fellow Native Americans and lure the cats into a powder house, turning the fort’s own weapons against them. When one of the intruders, Geronimo, asks for a match, the pair obliges, and the powder house explodes in a dramatic, skyward eruption that sends felines arcing into the air before they tumble back down. Throughout, Tweety, perched with an umbrella in hand, comments on the surreal mayhem around him, culminating in a final, memorable beat of comic triumph:
