What Is The Monk About?
The premise of The Monk without spoilers.
Set in Madrid during the Inquisition, monk Ambrosio is celebrated for his devout faith and iron will, revered as a saint by the townspeople. When he discovers the beautiful Matilda hidden in his monastery, suppressed desires surface, and he begins exploiting her and her powers to satisfy a growing lust for innocent victims.
