The Farm 2018

Nora and Alec, a couple navigating through the countryside from Los Angeles, find themselves lost during a drive. Their journey takes a sinister turn when they decide to stop at a deserted rest area. Shortly thereafter, they encounter a rude woman who is stranded with a broken car, further heightening their apprehension. As they press on in search of gas and accommodation, an unsettling stop at a diner leaves them feeling uneasy—particularly when a man ominously warns Nora about the dangers of their current location.

After this eerie warning, they opt to rent a small cabin from an eccentric landlord, who adds to their discomfort. That night, while they attempt to sleep, dreadful events unfold as a man donning a sheep mask emerges from beneath their bed, leading to a series of horrifying revelations. The following morning, Nora awakens in a wire cage within a barn, her world transformed into a nightmare. She soon discovers that the couple has been captured and taken to a remote farm where humans are treated like livestock.

As the story unfolds, Nora learns the grim fate awaiting those who are imprisoned. Men are held separately and face brutal executions, while women are confined to pens used for breeding and milking. Alec finds himself amongst other captives and endures the harrowing sight of his fellow men being slaughtered. Meanwhile, Nora encounters women who have suffered in silence on the farm for years. One of them uncovers the terrifying truth: the operators of the farm monitor their victims long before taking them, making escape seem nearly impossible.

Despite witnessing a fellow captive’s brutal demise, Nora’s spirit is reignited when she learns that Alec is still alive. Injured yet resolute, he makes his way to her, and together they venture into the perilous expanse of the farm, attempting to evade their masked captors. Tragically, Alec falls victim to a trap, leaving Nora to navigate the horrors alone.

In her quest for freedom, Nora manages to free another captive named Ashley and together, they scramble for an escape route. Their desperate search leads them to a bus, which they believe could be their salvation. However, as Nora retrieves the keys and boards the vehicle, they are met with a chilling surprise: the masked members of the farm are already inside, lying in wait. The story culminates in a spine-chilling scene where the commune gathers around a table to serve Nora and Ashley as the main course, sealing their fate in this grotesque tableau.
