What Is The Composer About?
The premise of The Composer without spoilers.
This film tells the true story of Xian Xinghai, one of China's most celebrated composers. When the Soviet Union faced war with Nazi Germany in 1941, Xian found himself unable to return home and became stranded in Almaty. Facing poverty and illness, he received unexpected help from Kazakh composer Bakhitzhan Baykadamov, who offered him shelter and support without knowing his true identity. During this time, Xian flourished, composing some of his most renowned works and establishing a new chapter in his life.
