Once upon a time, in a playful fairy-tale frame, the Three Little Pigs read their story and decide to cash in by selling their straw and wooden houses to dodge the Big Bad Wolf’s wrath. Bugs Bunny quickly falls for their scheme, purchasing the straw house as a quick payday, only to watch the Wolf blow it down in a gust of exaggerated wind. He then tries the wooden house, but the same comic gust collapses it as well, leaving Bugs with a goofy grin and a trail of tossed lumber.
Seeking revenge through misdirection, Bugs disguises himself as Little Red Riding Hood to disrupt the Wolf’s own narrative and twist the tale from within. The action shifts to Grandma’s house, where the confrontation bursts into a lively display of wit and physical comedy, with doors swinging, pratfalls popping up, and the two rivals trading gags at a brisk, cartoonish pace.
The scene moves to Granny’s doorway, and the encounter becomes a battle of minds and momentum as the Wolf defends his choices by insisting that he was simply following the book, claiming those houses belonged to the Pigs. Bugs and the Wolf realize they’ve both been pulled into a trick of the story, each playing a role in a plot that keeps bending to suit the joke.
Eventually they reach the Pigs’ brick house, a stronghold that seems ready to withstand any gust. The Wolf is urged to try blowing it down anyway, but the brick structure holds steady long enough for the prank to swing in Bugs’ favor. Then the scene intensifies: the brick house appears to explode as TNT is revealed, and the Wolf, thinking he has won, proclaims that he did it, much to the Pigs’ shock. In the chaotic aftermath, Bugs steps forward to claim the credit, his sly smile and mischief clear as he reveals the clever deception that destroyed the house, and the entire sequence closes on his triumphant, gleeful laughter.
