What Is The Red Machine About?

In 1935 Washington, D.C., amid the Great Depression, a charismatic young thief is compelled to aid an icy, aloof U.S. Navy spy in stealing a Japanese cipher device. The mission is tangled by the spy’s shadowy past in Tokyo, and the pair realize they are being used by larger forces. Together they plot a dangerous, intricate, risky scheme to turn the tables on those manipulating them.
