The Princess 2022

The film transports viewers to a medieval kingdom governed by a king and his queen, who are blessed with two daughters: the brave Princess and her younger sibling, Violet. With the queen’s subtle blessing, the Princess undergoes rigorous training in combat under the guidance of Linh, the niece of Khai, an advisor to the king. Lacking male heirs, the King intends to unite his daughter with Julius, the cruel son of a royal diplomat who believes that a monarch should wield power through force rather than diplomacy.

On the day of her wedding, the Princess defies her fate and leaves Julius at the altar. Enraged, he, along with his vicious ally Moira and a pack of mercenaries, seizes control of the castle, taking the royal family hostage. The Princess finds herself imprisoned in the highest tower, facing an uncertain future filled with dread.

When two mercenaries enter her tower with malicious intent, she swiftly dispatches them and vows to rescue her family. Battling her way through numerous foes, she ultimately attracts the attention of Julius and Moira, who send their men in pursuit of her. In her desperate flight, she reunites with Linh, who manages to escape the chaos and joins her cause.

As they attempt to navigate the treacherous path to the sewers, they encounter Moira. Linh bravely remains behind to confront her while the Princess frees her captured family. They are soon caught and brought before Julius, who, intent on solidifying his power, plans to marry Violet instead. In a fierce struggle, the Princess fights back, only to be cast into a nearby lake in a bid to drown her. Meanwhile, Linh and Violet find a secret escape route.

Defying the odds, the Princess survives and returns to the castle, where she reunites with Linh and Violet. In a clandestine storeroom, the trio arm themselves and embarks on a mission to confront the mercenaries. During this fierce battle, Violet manages to free Khai, but is shortly captured herself. Linh is injured in her duel with Julius, while the Princess confronts Moira, ultimately killing her.

As she struggles in single combat with Julius, the Princess appears defeated but seizes a critical moment to turn the tide. In a fierce display of her strength and determination, she wrests Julius’ sword and decisively ends his reign with a powerful blow. Impressed by his daughter’s unwavering resolve, the King acknowledges her courage and makes her his heir, proclaiming that women of their kingdom shall have the freedom to choose their own destiny.
