A powerful new production of Verdi’s tragic opera, Rigoletto, premiered during the 2021–22 season with director Bartlett Sher’s Weimar-era staging. The performance, part of the company’s Live in HD series, features Quinn Kelsey as the titular court jester, fiercely protective of his daughter, Gilda, portrayed by soprano Rosa Feola. Tenor Piotr Beczała embodies the Duke of Mantua, while Daniele Rustioni leads the orchestra. The cast also includes Andrea Mastroni and Varduhi Abrahamyan in supporting roles, bringing depth to this classic tale of deception and revenge.
