Joined by tenor Piotr Beczała as her lover Maurizio, the production also stars mezzo-soprano Anita Rachvelishvili and baritone Ambrogio Maestri. Gianandrea Noseda conducts Sir David McVicar’s staging, originally presented at the Royal Opera House in London, which creates a lavish and visually striking atmosphere within a Baroque theater setting.
