Two brothers, Lee Chun Fei, a Wing Chun stylist, and Lee Chun Pang, a Five Animals practitioner, protect a civilian from the town bully Yeung Wai. Their distinct kung fu styles win the crowd’s praise and spark a growing rivalry as they each dream of opening their own school.

When pride hardens into competition, the brothers set up separate martial arts schools. A wealthy man Chin Fung hires them to teach his two sons, the crooked-eyed Big Dog Big Dog and Little Dog Little Dog. Big Dog becomes Fei’s disciple, and Little Dog becomes Pang’s, widening the rift even as their skills sharpen.

Meanwhile, a local kung fu enthusiast Sei Leng Chai tries to forge his own style and befriends wandering winemaker Fei Chai Fei Chai, a master of many techniques. Fei Chai urges Sei Leng Chai to learn as much as he can, and Sei Leng Chai begins studying from Fei Chai, from Fei, and from Pang, expanding his repertoire and challenging the brothers’ ego.

Later, it is revealed that Yeung Wai is Chin Fung’s kung fu senior who sent his impostor sons to study with the brothers to understand their styles. Chin Fung intends to cripple Fei and Pang to avenge Yeung. As tensions flare, Sei Leng Chai steps in to help and the brothers’ bond starts to heal.

In the climactic clashes, Sei Leng Chai defeats Chin Fung, and Yeung Wai arrives to defeat and capture Sei Leng Chai, while Fei Chai arrives to turn the tide by killing Yeung Wai.
