The Egg and I 1947
World War II veteran Bob MacDonald surprises his wife Betty by quitting his city job and moving them to a dilapidated farm. Betty wrestles with a falling‑apart house, nosy neighbors and a stubborn pig while Bob plans crops and livestock. Their peace is shaken when a farm owner arrives, clearly wanting more from Bob than just managing her property.
