Sylvain Berg, a self‑described “professional” unemployed who spends his time hiking, and Benoît Constant, a “model” bank employee newly fired who hides the loss from his wife, both visit Françoise Duru’s employment agency. Secretly in love with Sylvain, Françoise convinces her boss to give him a job he doesn’t want, passing over the qualified Benoît who actually wants it.
