Subramanyam, also known as Subbu or Subhash, is portrayed as the youngest son in a traditional family, but his lifestyle is far from responsible or disciplined. He is depicted as a carefree, wandering young man who prefers spending his time socializing with girls, hanging out with friends, and failing his exams regularly. His attitude towards his family, especially his father Viswanadh, who owns a café, is marked by disdain and contempt, often expressing hatred and disgust.

On the other hand, his elder brother Chakri is a disciplined and dedicated college-level kickboxer, considered the pride of their family. Chakri trains tirelessly for an upcoming inter-college kickboxing championship but faces setbacks after losing to his rival [Rohit], from the prestigious Model College. Their encounter during training highlights the class difference, as Chakri is mocked for his modest background despite his efforts, while Rohit comes from an elite background.

Meanwhile, Jaanu, whose full name is Janaki, is Subbu’s neighbor and harbors a quiet love for him, though Subbu remains unaware of her feelings. She is portrayed as a caring individual, often supporting him, especially when he is at his lowest. Jaanu’s father owns a garage, and she often acts as a silent supporter in Subbu’s journey.

The story takes a turn when Subbu encounters Lovely, a sophisticated girl from Model College. He fabricates a story about being a wealthy student enrolled in an elite engineering college, pretending to be from a privileged background to impress her. His deception initially works, and Lovely starts to fall for him. However, she eventually discovers the truth about Subbu’s real background, which leads her to break up with him publicly and insult him in front of his father Viswanadh and brother Chakri. This revelation devastates the family, especially since it exposes Subbu’s lies and superficiality.

In response to this humiliation, Viswanadh decides to banish Subbu from the family home, leaving him homeless and without support. Recognizing his mistakes, Subbu begins to reflect on his actions and seeks to change. With encouragement from Jaanu, he starts to work on himself, aiming to prove his worth, not only to his family but also to himself. Through hard work and newfound determination, Subbu begins to understand and appreciate Jaanu’s love, which he had previously ignored.

Meanwhile, Chakri’s aspirations are temporarily derailed when Rohit, now dating Lovely, ambushes him with a brutal attack, leaving Chakri seriously injured and hospitalized. This attack ignites a fire within Subbu, who vows to seek revenge and make amends. Determined to defend his family’s honor and redeem himself, Subbu commits to rigorous training for the kickboxing championship.

In a dramatic culmination, Subbu faces Rohit in the final match. Displaying remarkable strength, perseverance, and skill, he defeats Rohit, winning the inter-college kickboxing championship. He dedicates his victory to Chakri, marking a moment of redemption and reconciliation. This triumph not only earns him respect within his family but also helps to mend the rift with his father Viswanadh. Finally, after overcoming his flaws and proving his resolve, Subbu accepts Jaanu’s love, realizing the importance of sincerity and genuine emotions over superficial appearances.
