David Chamberlain, an anxious soon-to-be father, is racing to the hospital where his wife is in labor. His routine drive takes a terrifying turn when a mysterious man, known only as The Passenger, enters the back seat. With a gun pointed at David’s head, the Passenger forces him to pick a card, leading David to randomly select the Ace of Spades—a card the Passenger conveniently reveals he had in his pocket all along. Driven by fear for his life, David complies and begins an unpredictable road trip filled with dread and desperation.

Throughout their harrowing journey, the Passenger remains elusive, only mocking David’s anguished attempts to appeal to his sense of humanity and discuss his family life. As they travel, David makes several frantic attempts to escape. He tries signaling for help to a woman at a gas station, but she drives away oblivious to his silent plea. The recounting takes a darker turn as the Passenger explains that, just like the bookkeeper who was lured to his demise, David is also marked for death upon reaching their final destination.

The tension escalates as the Passenger, increasingly unstable, confronts David about his deceptive life.
