Summer in the Forest 2018
This documentary follows four individuals who were formerly institutionalized and given the label "idiot." They are given a chance at freedom thanks to the work of philosopher Jean Vanier, who establishes L'Arche in the 1960s. This forest commune, located near Paris, becomes a place of human connection and unexpected joy. Through reflections on his decades spent at L'Arche, Vanier shares insights on the profound impact of embracing vulnerability and living a simple life.
