What ancient structure emits the electromagnetic pulse that threatens the world?
Read the complete plot summary of Stonehenge Apocalypse, including all major events, twists, and the full ending explained in detail. Explore key characters, themes, hidden meanings, and everything you need to understand the story from beginning to end.
An ancient prophecy seems to come to life when archaeologists uncover an Egyptian chamber buried 10,000 feet beneath the Maine landscape, triggering a devastating electromagnetic pulse that wakes Stonehenge and sends destructive shockwaves rippling across the globe. As the pulse spreads, the Aztec pyramids crumble and the stones seem to take on a life of their own, turning a scholarly mystery into a looming planetary crisis. A renegade radio host becomes a key voice in the escalating disaster, while a team of scientists and a disciplined British commando unit race to prevent a force—potentially tied to the origin of life on Earth—from cleansing the planet and ushering in a terrifying new era.
Dr. Jacob Glaser, [Misha Collins], once a celebrated prodigy now dismissed as a conspiracy theorist, stumbles onto the first EMPs erupting from Stonehenge and forges an uneasy alliance with Dr. Kaycee Leeds, [Torri Higginson], alongside a wary British contingent as they work to halt the catastrophe. Their collaboration stiffens under pressure, but escalating volcanic and geological disturbances—from Java’s eruptions to tremors around the Giza pyramid complex—begin to lend credibility to Glaser’s unorthodox ideas about underground electromagnetic fields and ancient energy networks that could be driving the apocalypse.
The team discovers an ancient artifact that could disable Stonehenge and halt the destruction, a relic currently housed in a museum. Yet a shadow looms: Joseph LeShem, [Hill Harper], has built a cult around waiting out the end of the world from a temple that rises from the ground in Maine. As LeShem’s influence grows, Glaser must move quickly to retrieve the mechanism after LeShem is killed by the British military, even as global powers debate a nuclear strike on Stonehenge before the device can be activated.
With the clock ticking, Glaser and Leeds push to return to Stonehenge with the artifact, but Leeds is badly injured and sent to a hospital. Back in England, Glaser confronts Dr. John Trousdale, who has seized the artifact in LeShem’s name. The confrontation crescendos as Glaser overpowers Trousdale and triggers the device just as a nuclear warhead reaches the site, ending seismic activity and evaporating the nuke along with Glaser and Trousdale.
In the aftermath, Kaycee Leeds is seen reading a newspaper casting doubt on Glaser’s actions and begins a conspiracy-theory radio show of her own, leaving audiences with a haunting reminder that truth and belief can diverge in the face of civilization’s most fateful choices.
