Amalgamated Pictures is on the hunt for fresh faces to lead its next batch of films. Talent scout Thomas Brooke hits the road, hoping to bring back promising newcomers for screen tests that will impress the studio boss, Dane Wharton.
In Arizona, Brooke spots a football player with a singer’s gift, Bud Borden, and in Texas, a gifted singer, Mary Andrews.
During a visit to Arkansas, aspiring actress Carolyn Sayres notices the recruiter and schemes to win his attention. Brooke is intrigued but learns she’s still a bit too young.
