On a weathered farm at the edge of a fading small town, Aisling [Alexandra Dowling], a young orphan, lives with her grandparents, Bud [Ted Levine] and Teresa [Becky Ann Baker]. She longs for discoveries beyond the fields and the quiet routine of farm life.

One night, as an ominous eclipse crawls across the sky, the heavens split, and a bright star crashes into the earth, landing in the field behind Aisling’s home. She steps out into the cool night and discovers a tiny star cradled in a glowing crater, alive with warmth and light.

Raphael [John Rhys-Davies], a figure who is both ethereal and earthy, appears and seems to know more about this star than anyone else. He places the living star into a small locket that rests over Aisling’s heart, entrusting her with its fragile, living light. With that light comes a responsibility she never asked for, and suddenly Aisling becomes an unlikely guardian of something powerful and dangerous.

Aisling and Raphael are forced to flee the farm when three ruthless criminals, Peter [Gbenga Akinnagbe], Martin [Tom Carey], and Nick, witness the fall and the strange sparkle that transformed a lead pipe into gold. The trio gives chase across tense fields and winding backroads, leaving behind the familiar town and pushing them toward an uncertain future. Bud and Teresa provide quiet support and worry from a distance, but they cannot protect Aisling from the danger closing in around them.

During their perilous flight, they are joined by Joshua [Diego Boneta], a gallant stranger whose calm presence and quiet strength help them evade their pursuers. With Joshua on their side, Aisling and Raphael navigate a world where magic and life collide—a world that tests faith, courage, and the capacity for hope. They learn that the true power of the star lies not in its brightness alone, but in its ability to awaken a sense of possibility and kindness in those who choose to believe.
