Sleepless Beauty 2020

After an unsuccessful attempt on the life of a foreign ambassador, a young schoolteacher, Mila, finds herself kidnapped and confined in a secluded industrial facility managed by a shadowy organization referred to as “Recreation.” Mila’s captivity is marked by a chilling communication system consisting of orders blared through a loudspeaker, while a masked enforcer supervises her every move. One of the most harrowing aspects of her ordeal is that her imprisonment is secretly streamed online, drawing an audience of anonymous viewers who bear witness to her suffering.

Over several grueling days, Mila is subjected to escalating levels of both physical and psychological torment intended to shatter her willpower. Under the harsh constraints imposed by her captors, she is coerced into rigorous exercise routines, exposed to distressing virtual-reality scenarios, and forced to endure traumatic experiences. Among these are the shocking implications of witnessing a murder and the horrifying necessity of killing rats while confined in a claustrophobic, coffin-like space. Simultaneously, her father, Sergey Topkov, is desperately attempting to report her missing and locate her whereabouts.

As the intense conditioning of Mila progresses, it reaches a jaw-dropping climax when she becomes the unwilling participant in brain surgery while fully conscious, a procedure that dangerously erodes her ability to recognize familiar faces. Once her captors are satisfied with their results, they release her, but the ensuing scene turns tragic. Her father, lured into a false sense of security by a message sent from her stolen phone, is met with horror when Mila, unable to identify him, fatally attacks him.

Ultimately, the organization assesses their experiment as a success. In a shocking revelation, it is disclosed that Mila was not the primary target of the assassination but rather an unwitting test subject.
