Luis, portrayed by Sergi López, embarks on a harrowing journey across the stark landscapes of southern Morocco in search of his lost daughter, Mar. Joined by his son, Esteban, played by Bruno Núñez Arjona, the duo arrives at a rave bustling with activity, where they learn from a subgroup of ravers that another gathering is set to occur deeper in the desert. This subgroup includes characters like Stef, Jade, Tonin, Bigui, and Josh, who try to dissuade Luis and Esteban from their mission, but to no avail.

As they venture southward towards a site “close to Mauritania,” they encounter a host of challenges that fortify their bond. They share meals and fuel, navigate treacherous river crossings, and care for their dog, Pipa, who faces a mishap after consuming LSD-tainted waste. In a moment meant to lighten their spirits, Tonin, performed by Tonin Janvier, entertains the group with an impromptu puppetry act rooted in humor.

Tragedy strikes when, after successfully freeing one of their vehicles from a rut, Luis’s van rolls back off a cliff, leading to the untimely demise of both Esteban and Pipa. Overcome by grief, Luis wanders into the desert alone and is eventually found by Jade and Stef, whose intentions to uplift the group take a dark turn. In an attempt to raise their spirits, Jade provides the group with a psychoactive substance, culminating in a makeshift rave. However, in a twist of fate, she tragically perishes in an explosion after stepping on a land mine.

The situation worsens as Tonin also meets a grim fate, stepping on another mine in a desperate attempt to rescue Jade. Realizing they are trapped in a minefield, the remaining survivors are determined to reach safety just 60 meters away in a presumed mine-free rocky area. Their first attempt to send a van forward results in a devastating explosion, followed by a second van meeting a similar fate after veering off course.

Challenged but not defeated, Luis presses on, managing to cross into safety, while Bigui suffers a fatal accident. Ultimately, with significant trepidation, Stef and Josh bravely follow, carrying Jade’s dog, and successfully reach Luis. The narrative culminates with the three survivors navigating the desert on open ore train wagons, accompanied by others, hinting at a glimmer of hope amidst the chaos they have endured.
