After his cousin Joe Vossimer [Stephen Baldwin] dies, Layne Vossimer [A.J. Buckley] and his girlfriend Macy Reed [Callie De Fabry], along with their friends Stephen Fox [David O’Donnell], Maurice Hall [Ransford Doherty], Iris Doyle [Kim Onasch], and Katrina Munro [Michelle Borth], decide to clean up Joe’s house with the intention of selling it. What starts as a routine clean-up quickly spirals into something far more unsettling. When they first glimpse the house, it is completely draped in iron armor from floor to ceiling, an eerie sight that heaps up tension while they try to assess the situation. Nearby, a cornfield reveals crop circles that add to the sense that something otherworldly is lurking just beyond ordinary sight.

As the day unfolds, the group confronts a creeping dread: Iris vanishes without a trace, and a sudden blackout plunges the area into darkness. In the midst of the darkness, the house comes under a sudden, violent attack by aliens, forcing the survivors to rethink everything they thought they knew about their cousin’s death and the strange relics that surrounded the home. They deduce that the aliens are allergic to iron, which explains Joe’s iron-laden defense, and this realization becomes their only plausible means of defense. The group bands together to fend off the extraterrestrial threat, improvising ways to exploit the iron barrier, but the onslaught proves overwhelming.

Ultimately, the house is destroyed in a cataclysmic explosion, and only Layne, Macy, and Katrina manage to escape the wreckage. They drive away into an uncertain night as the radio crackles with disturbing news. The report reveals that the blackout stretches across five western states and into parts of Canada, while people across the region report being attacked by “strange creatures.” The broadcast leaves them with a chilling sense that the danger is far from over, and the world is suddenly aware that something sinister is unfolding beyond the cornfields and iron walls they thought would keep them safe.
