Jagapati Babu, Radha Ravi, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Sindhu Menon, and Bharath Reddy anchor a dense, high-stakes drama set around loyalty, revenge, and duty on a Hyderabad police task force and the shadowy underworld that it battles.
The story follows Dayanayak, a dynamic deputy who runs the Hyderabad Task Force with a sharp, almost agile sense for encounters. He lives with his ideal wife, Gauri, and their daughter Harini, savoring a life that seems almost balanced between brutal policing and quiet family warmth. Dayanayak’s ability to network across the underworld and maintain cordial ties with his juniors and informers makes him formidable, but this very preeminence stirs envy in one of his own men, Salim. Into this combustible mix enters a brutal, ongoing feud between Bilal, a crime lord who operates from abroad, and Chota, another name in the city’s violent ledger. A fresh player, Akhil, arrives and quickly proves he can hold his own, even forming a bond of trust with Dayanayak. Amid these shifting loyalties, Dayanayak and Bilal engage in a tense, interwoven telephonic exchange that hints at a fragile love-hate rhythm between the two men.
Trouble accelerates when Dayanayak receives a precise lead about the landing of Ashok, a professional sharpshooter who works with Chota’s circle. He acts quickly and captures Ashok’s sidekick, but the cost is high: Dayanayak’s mother dies in the confrontation, and Ashok, nursing vengeance, breaks out of prison. Bilal warns Dayanayak that Ashok now poses a direct danger. On the eve of Akhil’s wedding, tragedy strikes: Gauri is killed by an unidentified assailant, an event that devastates Dayanayak and drives him to pursue the truth with relentless single-mindedness. Yet he finds the path obstructed at every turn by his adversaries, including the amoral Sivalinga Prasad, who arrives after the retirement of Commissioner Gurunarayana and seems intent on derailing Dayanayak’s investigation.
Facing impossible odds, Dayanayak chooses to resign and take direct action, wiping out Chota’s gang in a decisive sweep. In response, Sivalinga Prasad issues shoot-at-sight orders against Dayanayak and assigns Salim to trap him. The chase culminates in a moment of reversal when Akhil fires on Salim, freeing Dayanayak from a trap and allowing him to incapacitate Sivalinga Prasad as well. The balance of power shifts once more as Dayanayak calls Bilal to broker a strategic alliance, which Bilal agrees to—helping Dayanayak get out of India and back into the fight from a different vantage point.
That night, a charged exchange between Dayanayak and Bilal reveals a startling claim: Ashok killed Gauri. Dayanayak responds with a revelation of his own—that he had previously encountered Ashok before Gauri’s death. What follows is a murky revelation of Bilal’s hand in Gauri’s demise—allegedly acting on Ashok’s behalf—an accusation that sours Dayanayak’s loyalties and reshapes his view of Chota’s gang. Dayanayak turns this revelation into a calculated counterstrike, ultimately slaughtering Bilal and returning to the field with his team. Gurunarayana, not ready to let the law fall apart entirely, reinstates Dayanayak by framing his alleged crimes as part of a covert, sanctioned mission.
The film closes with Dayanayak marching forward on a new operation with his unit, his resolve hardened by betrayal, loss, and the hard-won trust of those who stand with him. The story keeps its cadence steady through betrayals, personal tragedy, and the steady push of duty against a backdrop of violence and shifting alliances, leaving Dayanayak poised for whatever comes next in his ongoing war on crime.
